JOIN US TONIGHT
(NOVEMBER 21st) “Family Movie Night” at Oakmont 8 for the Opening
Night celebration for the HUNGER GAMES!
They are showing a double feature (Both the first movie and new one)
starting at 5:15 and premiering the second movie “Catching Fire” at 8:00. Come see both and get a collectible lanyard,
or just join us for the new premiere. It
should be a great time if you loved the books or the movie series (Be advised
the films are rated PG-13 and it is up to you, the parent, to make viewing
decisions for your family).
JOIN US TOMORROW
(NOVEMBER 22nd) for our third Masterpiece Showcase at 12:15 p.m. on
the Gecko Stage! This month’s Moby Max
winners will be announced and each class will preform.
This week, we finished our theme of GAMES including “Ender’s
Game” and “The Hunger Games.” We
practiced our songs “Warrior (From ‘Ender’s Game’)” by DJ SoundHunter and
“TEAM” by Lorde on Stage to get ready for Friday’s Masterpiece Showcase, and
all students finished making their STEAM Game Notebooks as well (Some students
have yet to bring in a Composition notebook, and unfortunately never got to
make an awesome book like the students who had their books turned in on time.)
In lieu of our Fall
(Thanksgiving) break next week you will not have a STEAM Report to write this
week. Your next STEAM Report will not be
given out until December 5th and will be due December 10th. Therefore, you only needed two STEAM reports
in November: Week Eleven (the Purple paper) and Week Twelve (the Yellow paper).

MOBY MAX CONTESTS ARE
CONTINUING!
Thanks to all the families who have brought in a donation or
gave your spare change in the car line to help this month’s contest =)
The first MONTHLY contest ended on Tuesday night, and cash
prizes will be awarded to the highest badge earners (MUST EARN AT LEAST 25
BADGES TO GET A PRIZE!) during the Masterpiece Showcase tomorrow: Friday,
November 22nd.
The second MONTHLY contest is currently running and will continue until
December 13th. You can
currently track your progress by clicking the “119 contest” tab under your Moby
Max account. In December, students are working
to earn physical Moby Max prizes (See examples on the Moby Max board in the
front office). It will be point based,
and those with the most points earn the most prizes. You must have 500 points
to qualify to win!
Each student should have a unique username and password to
login and track their progress. If you
need help knowing how to login, or need a copy of your student’s information,
